Role of RhoA/ROCK signaling in HIV-1 Tat-induced changes in LRP1. Exposure to HIV-1 Tat resulted in markedly lower levels of LRP1 protein (a) and mRNA (b) and weaker immunoreactivity (c) compared with the untreated group. hCMEC/D3 cells were pretreated with HF (30 μmol/L) 2 h prior to HIV-1 Tat treatment for 24 h. LRP1 protein and mRNA levels and immunoreactivity were significantly increased with coexposure to HF and HIV-1 Tat compared with HIV-1 Tat only.
