Effect of preincubation of gp41-3S with C1q on the binding of gC1qR to gp41-3S.

Standard ELISA was performed in which microtiter bound gp41-3S peptide (2 μg/ml) was first incubated with increasing concentrations of C1q before addition of a concentration of gC1qR that gives optimal binding under similar experimental conditions. The bound gC1qR in turn was detected with mAb 74.5.2 and further developed following standard ELISA protocol. Each data point is a mean ± SD run in duplicates (n = 3).
