Effect of C. burnetii's S23p on E. coli's growth. E. coli strains IRW201 (diamond, pS23p+RBS), IRW202 (square, pS23p_439), IRW203 (triangle, pS23p_493), IRW204 (circle, pCR2.1-TOPO vector) were induced with IPTG (1 mM) and assayed spectrophotometrically at 600 nm for growth at 37°C.
