A. Four different melanoma cell lines were grown as mono-cultures or co-cultures with lung fibroblasts WI-38 with/without BRAFi treatment for 72 h. The effect on melanoma cells was scored by measuring bioluminescence and is presented as % relative to the respective non-treated controls (average ± SEM, n ≥ 3); *, p ≤ 0.05 at all doses (unpaired t-test). B. BRAFi EC50 values for each cell line treated in the mono-culture or co-culture conditions. C. The level of Ki-67 (detected by flow cytometry) in melanoma cells grown as mono-cultures or co-cultures and treated with 1 μM BRAFi for 72 h. The levels in the non-treated controls are shown for comparison.
