Principal Component Analysis using 11 Level 1 SEED Subsystems selected based on the “Mean Decreasing Accuracy” of the Random Forest analysis. Metagenomic relative abundance data in percentages were transformed to arcsin(√x). Previously published seawater, coral, and rhodolith metagenome datasets were used in this analysis (Bruce et al., 2012; Garcia et al., 2013; Cavalcanti et al., 2013, 2014, respectively).
