(a) A push column was employed for the isolation of erythrocytes from whole blood. (b–d) A mixture of 6 μl of whole blood and 294 μl of RPMI 1640 was poured into the outer tube, and the inner tube was then pushed into the outer tube. Erythrocytes were recovered in the inner tube by filtration through SiO2-nano-fibers, and leukocytes remained in the outer tube. The usage of these images was licensed by Panasonic Co., AIS Co.
