Images of a 46-y-old woman with an invasive ductal carcinoma of the right breast. (A) Axial DCE-MR image shows an irregular enhancing mass in the outer portion of the right breast, which was proven to be an invasive ductal carcinoma. Segmental nonmass clumped enhancement was also present in the upper inner quadrant of the right breast, which was proven to be a 12-cm DCIS. (B, C) UFMR images show a red-colored main mass, which was detected by all 5 readers. A segmental red-colored nonmass lesion was detected by 3 readers. (D, E) For the corresponding lesion, PCFMR images also show a red-colored main mass, which was detected by all 5 readers. The segmental red-colored nonmass lesion was also detected by all 5 readers. DCE-MR = dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance, DCIS = ductal carcinoma in situ, PCFMR = fused diffusion-weighted imaging using early postcontrast T1-weighted imaging, UFMR = fused diffusion-weighted imaging using unenhanced T1-weighted imaging.
