ANGPTL4 inactivates LPL outside of the cell. A: Western blots of cell culture media and cell lysates of CHO pgsA-745 cells. Cells were transfected with either a Flag-tagged ANGPTL4 expression vector or a vector for V5-tagged hLPL. The ANGPTL4- and LPL-transfected cells were then mixed and coplated. A full-length ANGPTL4 expression vector (hANGPTL4[1–406]) or a vector encoding the N-terminal domain of ANGPTL4 (hANGPTL4[1–160]) was used. Western blots were probed with an anti-Flag antibody to detect ANGPTL4 (red), an anti-V5 antibody to detect LPL (green), and an anti-actin antibody (red) (as a loading control).
