Ishikawa cells A. and KLE cells B. were treated with 10 mM metformin, 10 μM Compound C or combination of the two agents for 48 h. Western blot was performed to detect the expression of P-AMPKα, AMPKα, E-cadherin, N-cadherin and Slug. β-actin was used as a loading control. Expression ratios of P-AMPKα to AMPKα, E-cadherin, N-cadherin, and Slug to β-actin were analyzed. The data are presented as the mean ± SD of three replicates per group. Met: metformin; CC: Compound C. * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01 vs untreated cells.
