Northern blot analysis of the effect of TbMT40 and TbMT53 RNAis on tRNA_i^Mettranscript levels. The cell lines were induced for the indicated numbers of days, and total RNA was separated on a 15% acrylamide-7 M urea gel and was then hybridized to an oligonucleotide probe specific for mature tRNA_i^Met (nt 47 to 64) (A and C) or an oligonucleotide that predominantly recognizes tRNA_i^Met transcripts with 5′ extensions (B).
