Ectopic bone formation: (a) One representative construct at T0 is shown: β-TCP-granules (Δ) are clearly seen forming a solid construct. Even though some “big pores” are not completely filled with bone over time, a smaller pore (+) remains in T1 compared to T0. The construct became compact and dense over time.
