A 3-year-old girl with congenital scoliosis. Pre-operative radiographs (a, b) showed fully-segmented L3 and L4/5 hemivertebra. Post-operative radiographs (c, d) showed excellent correction by hemivertebra resection. Six months later, right rod fracture occurred without obvious migration (e, f). No revision surgery was done and no other rod breakage, rod migration or scoliosis aggravation was observed in 6 years follow-up (g, h)
