Quercetin protects against cholesterol-induced decrease in Min6 cell viability. Cell viability was assessed through (A) changes in cellular MTS reduction and (B) release of LDH into the media. Cells were incubated for 6 h with 320 µM cholesterol and/or 10–100 µM QUE. MTS reduction was measured in attached cells and LDH in the supernatant. Values are expressed as mean ± SEM, from three independent culture preparations, each treatment performed in quadruplicate.
