Mimics of miR-185 and miR-186 alleviate transforming growth factor (TGF)-β–induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in A549 cells. A549 cells were transfected with miR-185 mimic, miR-186 mimic, or nontargeting control miRNA 6 hours before TGF-β induction. A: Western blotting using anti–E-cadherin and anti–α-smooth muscle actin (SMA) antibodies was performed after 24 hours of TGF-β induction. B: The density ratio of E-cadherin to α-SMA of each specimen was calculated after densitometry analysis.
