Means and standard deviations are shown on the diagonal. IAT-L = Implicit Association Test for Loneliness (Nausheen et al., 2007); EAC = Emotional Approach Coping scales, Emotional Expression and Emotional Processing subscales (Stanton et al., 2000). LIWC = Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (Pennebaker et al., 2007) percentages of participant’s essay sample matching the language category. CES-D = Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale (Radloff, 1977). All variables measured at 9 month assessment, except depressive symptoms, measured at 12 month assessment.
