The reactions contained 6 μm ChpA −HD, 40 μm Xpt, 70 μm BeF₃⁻ (70 μm BeCl₂ and 10 mm NaF), and 30 μm [γ-³²P]ATP and were incubated for 90 min before quenching and analysis. B, reactions contained 7.3 μm ChpA −HD, 56 μm HPt, and 30 μm [γ-³²P]ATP. After 10 min, 2 mm unlabeled ATP was added; samples were removed at designated times for quenching and analysis.
