(B) Shows the relationship of general stress levels and the population survival according to equation 4 of the SAM. (C) Identifies the resulting mortality-related link between concentration levels from the average normalized concentration-response curve and the general stress level. The relationship indicates that low toxicant concentrations disproportionally increase the general stress compared to high toxicant concentrations.
