The model used was Sigmoidal E_max model with baseline expression [E = E₀+E_max*Age^h/(Age₅₀^h + Age^h)], where E is the protein expression; E₀ is the transporter expression at birth; E_maxis the maximum protein expression from the baseline, Age₅₀ is the age in years at which 50% of adult expression is observed and h is the Hill constant.
