Quantitative PCR analysis revealed no statistically significant differences in mRNA levels for MafB, PGC-1α, or FgfR1 in monkeys exposed chronically to placebo (P), olanzapine (O), or haloperidol (H). However, posthoc analyses using Fisher's least significant difference revealed that MafB mRNA levels were lower in the PFC of haloperidol-exposed monkeys relative to placebo-exposed monkeys (−10%; p=.03) and olanzapine-exposed monkeys (−9%; p=.047).
