A NIR-fluorescent bacterial detection probe and a chemiluminescent inflammation probe were injected into each mouse. The P. acnes growth area (A) and inflammatory area (B) were observed by fluorescence imaging (FRI) and bioluminescence imaging (BLI), respectively, in each mouse. The merged images revealed that the luminescent inflammation area covered most of the bacterial fluorescent signal area (C). The chemiluminescent inflammation probe specifically bound to neutrophils at the inflammation area in the P. acnes osteomyelitis.
