The receptor sequences were retrieved form NCBI and most of them are published (see, for example refs ²⁵,²⁸,²⁹,³¹,⁴⁶, ⁴⁷, ⁴⁸, ⁴⁹, ⁵⁰). See also Supplementary Fig. S5 online for amino acid sequences and accession numbers of the receptors. The receptors cloned in the current paper are highlighted in bold. The MEGA.6.06 software program based on the neighbour-joining calculation method⁴⁴,⁴⁵ was used. The tree is rooted with human rhodopsin. Bootstrap values (1–100) are given at each branch.
