(a) BG-4 calculated ED50 values for 24 and 48 h treatments were 251.3 and 134.4 μg/mL for HCT-116, respectively and (b) BG-4 calculated ED50 values for 24 and 48 h treatments were 249.2 and 217.0 μg/mL for HT-29, respectively. Representative phase-contrast images of human colon cancer cells as affected by BG-4 treatment after 48 h showed changes in the morphology of human colon cancer cells consistent with its cytotoxic activity.
