(A–E) Protein pull-down assay using the indicated amounts of GST–CsrA^lof (K7E, G33R, A36V) or GST–CsrA^crw fusion proteins (L49S, A58V) (black caret), loaded onto a glutathione-Sepharose column with the indicated amounts of FliW protein (open caret) added. Gels were stained with Coomassie Brilliant Blue. “Supernatant” indicates the proteins that failed to bind to the beads, and “pellet” indicates the proteins that remained bound to the beads after a series of washes.
