DRD4 23 (8.7) 5 (0) Two meta-analyses reported modest support for association between variants in DRD4 and schizophrenia (Allen et al., 2008; Shi et al., 2008), but another earlier meta-analysis found no evidence of association (Glatt et al., 2003). DRD5 7 (42.9) 2 (0) No meta-analytic results are available.
MAOA 19 (5.3) 0 (0) A meta-analysis found no overall support for an association between two common polymorphisms and schizophrenia (Li and He, 2008).

Because the current analyses are based on summary statistics from samples of predominantly European descent, we report here only the studies of Caucasian subjects in SZgene.org. Some studies included overlapping samples; this non-independence has not been accounted for in here.
