Lgals1^−/− mice exhibit increased inflammatory response day 15 after infection with H. capsulatum. Cytokines IL-12p40 (a), TNF-α (b), IL-1-α (c), and NO₂ ⁻ (d) were quantified from homogenized lungs on day 15 after infection with H. capsulatum. Cytokines levels (pg/mL) were determined in the supernatants by ELISA and NO₂ ⁻ (μM) by using a Griess reaction. Data are representative of one of the two experiments performed independently (n = 10 per group).
