Effect of 3-methyladenine (3-MA) and Chloroquine (CQ) on MeHg-induced cytotoxicity. Astrocytes were pretreated with 3-MA (2 mM for 12 hours) or CQ (50 µM for 6 hours), followed by treatment with MeHg (5µM) for 6 hours. Cell viability was determined with the MTT assay A: Treatment with 3-MA; B: Treatment with CQ; Results shown are the means of three independent experiments; Statistical analysis was carried out by one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett test. *: P<0.05 compared with the MeHg-treated group.
