Effect of sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) on neuronal damage in the hippocampal CA1 region in rats subjected to Aβ25–35-induced neurotoxicity by Nissl staining in each group. (A) No neuronal impairment was discovered in the hippocampus of rats from the sham-operated group. (B) In the Aβ25–35 group, a large quantity of pyknotic cells was detected. On a more serious note, some neuronal cells even disappeared in the hippocampus compared with the sham-operated group. (C) Damaged neurons significantly ameliorated following treatment with NaHS.
