Bactericidal effect of armadillidin H toward selected bacteria. Bacteria were diluted to 106 CFU/ml in 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.8) and incubated with various concentrations of peptides for 1 h at 28 or 37°C depending on te tested strain. Controls were run without peptide. Three experiments were carried out in duplicates and the results are expressed as means. Bar scales indicate standard deviation. As the sample data reach the assumptions (Shapiro–Wilk tests for normality and Bartlett tests for the homogeneity of variances), one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA) followed by post hoc tests (Tukey HSD) have been performed; CFU for each concentration was compared with control: ∗p < 0.05, ∗∗p < 0.01, ∗∗∗p < 0.001.
