Two different types of FAIM2 antibodies detecting N-terminus (FAIM2-abN) and C-terminus (FAIM2-abC) were used for FAIM2 IHC analysis. Antibody specific to synaptophysin, a known NE tumor marker, was used for parallel direct comparison. While SCLC sections with two different FAIM2 antibodies showed moderate to strong FAIM2 expression, no detectable or less intense synaptophysin expression was observed in the adjacent SCLC sections, suggesting that FAIM2 may outperform synaptophysin as a diagnostic marker of SCLC.
