Each point represents the mean of four replications × five site-years. The yield loss data were derived using the y-intercept in the equation averaged over 5 site-years in Figure 2b, which was taken as an estimation of the yield of the cultivar “Westar” in the absence of disease. The data points were transformed into the percentage of that yield (% maximum yield).
