FKA and FKB increase the expression of antioxidant and heat shock genes. A. HepG2 were treated with the indicated concentrations of FKA, FKB, or vehicle control (0.1% DMSO, 0 μM) for 24 h and RNA was collected and analyzed by real-time RT-PCR for the expression of HMOX1, GCLC, HSPA1A, and DNAJA4. 18S rRNA was use as a loading control for the normalization of data. Data are represented relative to gene expression in vehicle-treated cells. Error bars indicate standard deviations (n = 4, *p < 0.05). B.
