RNA in situ hybridization of cross sections through the chicken tegmentum vasculosum (A–F). Sections were hybridized with DIG-labeled cRNA probes, as given in the images. Most probes hybridized throughout the epithelium with no distinction between dark and light cells. The only exceptions were KCNJ10 and KCNJ16, which gave no positive signal (A,B). Representative results from at least 3 independent hybridization experiments are shown. Scale bar, 50 μm.
