Data are shown as mean (±SD), median (25th to 75th percentile), or n (%), as indicated. Characteristics are compared across genotypes using linear regression for continuous data and logistic regression for categorical data. Models are adjusted for age, gender, BMI, systolic BP, and diabetes, where appropriate. Microalbuminuria, ACR≥17 mg/g in men or ≥25 mg/g in women. CKD is defined as the presence of microalbuminuria and/or GFR<60 ml/min per 1.73 m2. HOMA-IR, homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance; CRP, C-reactive protein; CXCL, C-X-C motif ligand; CD40, cluster of differentiation 40.
