Figure 4

Resveratrol ameliorates oxidative damage of neural stem cells in a concentration-dependent manner following oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation in vitro. (A) Levels of MDA were significantly higher in the Mod group, compared with the Nor group, and significantly lower in the Res groups, compared with the Mod group, and was lowest in the 5 μmol/l resveratrol (Res5) group. (B) SOD activity and (C) GSH content were significantly lower in the Mod group, compared with the Nor group, and significantly higher in the Res groups, compared with the Nor and Mod groups, being highest in the 5 μmol/l resveratrol (Res5) group. P<0.05, vs. Nor group; ΔP<0.05, vs. Mod group; #P<0.01 and *P<0.05, vs. Res1 and Res20 groups Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation and were compared using one-way analysis of variance (n=3 for each group). Nor, normal; Mod, model; Res, resveratrol; MDA, malondiadehyde; SOD, superoxide dismutase; GSH, glutathione.
