Figure 3

Overexpression of GSN in GSN-transfected SW480 and HT29 cells, and vector-transfected SW480 and HT29 cells, measured using (A) reverse transcription quantitative-polymerase chain reaction and (B) western blotting. Overexpression of GSN in GSN-transfected SW480 and HT29 cells was significantly higher, compared with the vector-transfected cells. Proliferation of the (C) vector- and GSN-transfected SW480 cells and (D) vector- and GSN-transfected HT29 cells were measured by relative cell numbers. (E) Crystal violet staining to determine the invasion of vector-transfected and GSN-transfected SW480 cells, and vector and GSN-transfected HT29 cells (magnification, ×100). Data are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation (*P<0.05). GSN, gelsolin; GAPDH, glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase.
