Average amino acid compositions of proteins encoded by the phage ϕ29 genome or by the B. subtilis genome. An in-house script written in Python language was used to compute the amino acid composition of the proteins of both organisms from the FASTA files obtained from the National Center for Biotechnology Information ftp site. The graphics were created using the R programming language and software environment.
