Messenger RNA expression of the phase-I drug-metabolizing enzymes Aldhs in various sections of intestine (duodenum, jejunum, ileum, and colon) of WT and Car−/− male mice treated with vehicle (corn oil) or TCPOBOP as described in Section 2. Data are expressed as percentage of the housekeeping gene β-actin (n=4–5 per group). Data among multiple groups were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan׳s post hoc test. Asterisks (*) indicate statistically significant differences (P<0.05) between control WT and TCPOBOP-treated WT mice at the same section of intestines. Pound signs (#) indicate statistically significant differences (P<0.05) between control Car−/− and with TCPOBOP-treated Car−/− mice.
