Suppression of T‐cell proliferation by M2‐polarized peritoneal macrophages. (a) CD4+ T cells isolated from the spleen of wild‐type mice were stimulated with anti‐CD3/CD28 beads and were either cultured alone (T cells only) or with untreated peritoneal macrophages (M0), interferon‐γ (IFN‐γ)‐treated peritoneal macrophages (M1), or interleukin‐4 (IL‐4)/IL‐13‐treated peritoneal macrophages (M2) at a ratio of 1 : 10 (macrophages: CD4+ T‐cells).
