IL-23 mRNA expression before and after cell stimulation with PPD in patients and latent TB. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells from subjects with latent TB (n=26) and patient subjects (n=28) were stimulated with purified protein derivative (PPD) (0.75 TU/ml) for 72 hr, and IL-23 cytokine expression was measured by real-time PCR.
