Epley maneuver for right benign paroxysmal positional vertigo arising from the posterior semicircular canal. The initial steps (A-C) are the same as the Dix-Hallpike maneuver in Fig. 5. The physician turns the patient’s head 90° to the left (D). The physician then turns the patient’s head an additional 90° to the left while the patient rotates his or her body 90° in the same direction (E). The patient then sits up on the left side of the examination table (F). Each position should be maintained for at least 30 seconds, until the induced nystagmus subsides. Informed consent was received from the patient.
