| • Keep record of pregnant women of their respective area for advice and referral |
| • Advise pregnant women about: o Healthy diet o Accessing antenatal care from a health facility o Exclusive breast feeding o Uptake of offered iron and folic acid tablets |
| • Maintain liaison with TBAs in their area for safe birth and to refer women to local health facility as required |
| • Identify danger signs during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum and refer appropriate women to a health facility |
