Psychological score (eg, hospital anxiety and depression scale) in inactive inflammatory bowel disease patients with and without irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like symptoms. Among inactive Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) patients, total psychological score was higher in those with IBS-like symptoms than in those without IBS like symptoms, but that difference was not statistically significant. The anxiety score was significantly higher in inactive CD patients with IBS-like symptoms than in those without such symptoms.
