Note that all data at age 30 years were from patients with uveitis onset before the year 1990. Remission was defined as inactive disease for ≥ three months after discontinuing all treatments for eye disease.[29] Systemic immunomodulatory treatment (IMT) was defined ‘Yes’ when used for more than six months. Uveitis activity was defined ‘Yes’ when there were at least 1+ cells in the anterior chamber, as determined by the grading system of the Standardization of Uveitis Nomenclature (SUN) working group.[29].
