SKOV3 cells were seeded onto the transwell insert consisting of 8 μm pore-size filters coated with Matrigel basement membrane matrix. Inserts were placed in wells containing 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 or 1000 μg/ml of AE in the medium and incubated for 24 h. A. Migrated cells were stained with crystal violet and photographed. Representative images (×200) show SKOV3 cells that crossed the matrigel coated membrane indicating invasiveness. B. Quantitative results of crystal violet released from migrated cells using spectrophotometry at 590 nm.
