Periorbital areas showed a significant warming during response preparation (Phase 3) (all ps < 0.01). This warming was weaker for the Self-gain lies in the reputation condition (significant triple interaction, bootstrap p = 0.04; Bonferroni corrected post hoc Self-gain lies Reputation Risk vs. No Reputation Risk, p < 0.05).
