Effect of ouabain 50 μmol/L on contractile function in control, I/R and OPC hearts. Ouabain 50 μmol/L (orange bars) or dobutamine 75 nmol/L (green bars) or insulin (0.3 mU/mL) was applied for 15 min after aerobic perfusion with Krebs–Henseleit buffer or following 30 min of ischemia and 30 min reperfusion with or without OPC, according to protocol B (Fig. 1).
