Effect of raw and roasted almond intake on caecal intestinal bacteria of rats. Caecal contents were collected after sacrificing the animals on day 28 for the enumeration of Bifidobacterium spp., Lactobacillus spp., E. coli and Enterococcus spp. Values are expressed as the mean of the log10 number ± SD (CFU) per gram of caecal contents.
