CXCL1 expression in PP. C57BL/6 mice were infected with 5 × 10⁸ CFU Y. enterocolitica WT or with the same dose of the avirulent ΔyopH strain. At 3 days postinfection (dpi), the concentrations of CXCL1 protein in homogenates of uninfected (PBS) and infected Peyer's patches (PP) were quantified by flow cytometry using the cytometric bead assay (CBA) (A). In addition, RNA was purified from the PP and subjected to quantitative PCR (qPCR) analysis of CXCL1 gene expression (B). The data are the summary results of 2 experiments.
