Notes: (A) Sodium bisulfite conversion of unmethylated cytosines into uracil while methylated cytosines remain unconverted. (B) PCR amplified with thiol-labeled methylation specific primer of PAX1. (C) Aggregation of AuNPs in unmethylated DNA sample and the color of AuNP colloid solution changed from red to purple-gray, whereas no aggregation in methylated DNA sample and no color change were observed in AuNPs colloid solution upon salt adition.
