Effect of e-TRAP, synthetic TRAP, and EMD on HUVEC proliferation/viability. Proliferation/viability of HUVECs was measured by MTT assay. HUVECs were treated for 24 h with 1–100 μg/ml e-TRAP, synthetic TRAP, or EMD. Cells treated with 0.001 % of acetic acid were taken as vehicle control. The values of optical density (OD) of the different concentrations were normalized to the average OD value of the control group (=1). Data are presented as mean ± S.E.M. # P < 0.01, significantly higher than the control. *P < 0.01, significantly lower compared to the control
